Once a contract manufacturer of the API or intermediate is selected, the project needs to stay on track and dovetail with other aspects of pharmaceutical development. I have a large amount of experience keeping API projects on track, including all that was needed to launch atorvastatin. I have found that this portion can be a full time job, but does not have to be if excellent lines of communication and trust between the different functions are maintained.
